That’swhyyoucantrustthemtobesomeofyourbestteachersaboutproductivityandsuccess.  BeforeyoudecidethatI’velostmymind,I'llexplain.  Mosthumanbeingsareamazinglyconsistentinthewaytheybehave.That’swhywecansayofsomeaction,“Thatisn’tlikeyou,”or“It’ssooutofcharacter.”Withoutthatconsistency,sucharemarkwouldbepointless.Andamongstthemostconsistentgroupsofallarethosewhospendleasttimeinanykindofintrospection:theextremeextroverts,theloud,slap-you-on-the-backheartytypes,thearrogant,thepompous,theselfishandtheself-centered—thepeoplewho,iftheybecomebosses,aremostlikelytoprovetobebadones.  Powerfullessonsfrompowerful(andhopelesslyunaware)people  Badbossescanbecomeusefulteacherspreciselybecausetheirbehaviortendstobesoconsistentlybad.Youcanbefairlysureoftheirmotivesandintentions,whichallowsyoutocomparecause(whattheydidandprobablywhytheydidit)witheffect(howitturnedout).  Thepompousboss,convincedofhersuperiorityandtherightnessofwhatevershedoes;thelazyboss,surethatstatusconferstherighttoliveoffotherpeople’sefforts;therigid,controllingboss,firminhisbeliefthatallsubordinatesareincompetentwithouthisoversight;allofthese(andmanymore)holdtotheiractionssotenaciously—andaresoblindtowhattheyaredoing—thattheywillprovidesomeofthebestlessonsinwhatnottodothatyouwilleverbeoffered.  Herearesevenofthelessonsyoumightcomeacross,beginningwithproductivity:  Seehowmucheffortbadbosseshavetousetomakethingshappentheirway;effortthatwouldbeunnecessaryiftheybehavedbetter—allthattimespentmicro-managingandchecking;alltherantingandravingtoreduceotherstoobedience;alltheliesandstratagemsneededtomanipulateothersinsteadofaskingthemopenly.  Seehowothersreacttothem;howpeoplebecomeadeptatsabotagingtheireffortsandunderminingtheirsuccess.Evenwhentheydarenotopposethebossopenly,subordinateswillshowgreatingenuityinfindingotherwaystofrustratethem.  Lookattheeffectbadbosseshaveontrust—howthistypeofbehaviorruinsrelationshipswithcustomersaswellasemployees.Oncediscovered,asitalwaysisintheend,cynicalmanipulationrendersfuturetrustimpossibletoo.  Whatabouttheimpactonmotivation?Considerhowyoufeelifyoufindyourselfgoingalongwiththeboss’sbadbehavior.Doyoufeelmotivatedordepressed?Doesitmakeyouwanttoexertyourselforlimityouroutputtonomorethanisneededtopreserveyoursafetyandcareerprospects?  Rigiditynext.Mostmachobossesseechangingapoordecisionasanunacceptablesignofweakness.Howmanytimeshaveyouseenabadleaderproducedisasterfromwhatcouldhavebeenatriumph,simplybecauseheorsherefusedtoadmitto—andchange—abaddecision?  Takesometimetoconsiderwhatsurvivalinthelifestyleofabadbossdemands.Isthathowyouwouldbewillingtolive?Aretherewardstheygetworthwhattheyhavetodotogetthem?  Mostimportant,observethewaybadbossesareregardedbythoseabovethem.Aretheygenuinelyfoolingthetopdogsabouttheirweaknesses?Orarethoseexecutivessimplyplayingthesamegame—butfarbetter—manipulatingmiddleandjuniormanagerstoenhancetheirownpositions,thenthrowingthemtothewolveswhentheybecometoomuchofanembarrassment?I’msureyoucanthinkofmanymoresituationswhereabadbosshastaughtyouavaluablelesson.Observingandlearningfromothers’mistakesisasimportantaslearningfromyourown—andagooddeallesspainful.  Besides,themachotoughguyscanneveradmittobeingwrong.Theycan’tlearnfromtheirownmistakes.Sinceyoucan,it’sanadvantageyoucanuseforallit’sworth.信息学院赴湖州地区中学开展招生宣传工作为确保2017年招生工作的顺利进行,在学校招生办统一指导和部署下,6月23日至25日,信息学院招生咨询小组走进湖州地区五所中学开展2017年度招生宣传工作手绘环保传单传递正能量下午2点,重庆天地人和街小学学雷锋社区服务活动正式开始经过简短的仪式,5年级近400名学生拿着自己从家里带来的各种清洁工具和环保传单,在老师的带领下走出校门“5日就是‘学雷锋日’,除了从思想上学习榜样的精神,我们也希望能做一些实在的事情,把学雷锋落在实处为了这次活动,同学们都做了精心准备上游新闻记者观察到,不少同学手里的环保传单都是自己手绘制作的
